One of the best parts of holidays is lots of delicious and mouthwatering food. Each festival has some special treats associated with it. For Christmas this treat is cookies! Kids love sweets and cookies are no different. There is fun and joy in making those at home, and with kids around, it is double the joy. We have some fun cookies and other holiday recipes that you can make with your little one.

Christmas Tree Brownies:

For these you will need to prepare the brownies beforehand and let them cool. You’ll also need:

  • Frosting (Green)
  • Mini Candies
  • Sprinklers
  • Chocolate chips, and
  • Ice cream sticks or candy cane

Cut the brownies into triangles and put them on a stick. Now drizzle the frosting on top. You can also dip it in the frosting to cover it fully. Now hand it over to your baby to decorate it with mini candies, chocolate chips,  and sprinklers. You can use white colored frosting too.

Snowman Cookies:

For the places which don’t get snowfall, that doesn’t mean we can’t make a snowman. For this you will need:

  • Cookie dough
  • Frosting
  • Chocolate chips
  • Star shaped sprinklers

Roll out the dough and cut big and small circles using cookie cutters. You can let your baby do it, but you need to pay attention to them while they do so. Now put the small circle on top of the bigger one, so that it looks like a snowman. Bake them. After letting the cookies cool down, dip it in frosting and set it aside to set. With the help of your kids put the eyes and nose on the snowman. Don’t forget the buttons!

Hot Chocolate:

Kids would do anything to avoid drinking milk. But they love hot chocolate. For this you’ll need:

  • Cocoa Powder
  • 50% Dark Chocolate
  • Milk
  • Marshmallows
  • Whipped Cream
  • Chocolate chips
  • Vanilla essence
  • Salt

Put milk in the pan. Add Cocoa Powder, Chocolate, a few drops of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Bring the mixture to a boil. Now pour it in a mug. With the help of your munchkin add whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate chips. Watch your kids sip on it and make chocolate mustaches.

Add a few drops of peppermint extract to the melted chocolate mix. Pour the mixture on butter paper. While it is still melted, drizzle frosting on it and decorate with mini candies and sprinkles and put it in the refrigerator. Once set, break it in pieces and enjoy with your munchkin.

Christmas Tree Cupcakes:

Cupcakes are without a doubt a favourite with kids. For this you’ll need:

At times kids refuse to eat healthy. But we can always sneak in some goodness to our baby foods. You can use almond flour as a replacement for regular flour. Nut milk goes well with baked stuff. It gives a nutty flavour along with nutrition. These holiday recipes are kid-friendly and easy to make.
